It’s nice to think that someone is looking after us. Marjett has a gift for capturing animals and for helping us ask interesting questions. Who is watching over us?
“As I paint I strive to touch, be touched by and to express the life force of nature in my work. If my art can serve, even in a small way, as a voice for the environment then I feel it has been a worthwhile effort. My work is in watercolor, mixed media, oils, charcoal and fired clay. I am inspired by the images and histories of animals, plants, indigenous peoples and the landscape of both the South and the Northwest, and I exhibit my work in galleries and juried exhibits in both regions.” – Marjett Schille
